Beeboppin’ around town

During our time at News Channel 8 to tape the segment for Pretty Muddy on Tuesday, we made a trip over to the Oxford Exchange for lunch in between a break. What an awesome find in Tampa, great job Meghan!

The atmosphere here is sick! In the nicest way! It’s set up like an old library where you can sit and read books or plan on your own Thomas the iPad, but also there is a restaurant section along with coffee and tea stands. It is a huge open space with great rooftop windows and lighting, even in the bathroom! It reminded me a lot of a place we went to in LA called Bottega Louie, if you mixed it with a real fancy Barnes and Noble.
We enjoyed their brunch menu – the prices are definitely in the $-$$ range, not bad at all!
ham, swiss, and spinach omelet with white bread that I switched for wheat 😉

it came with a side of citrus and in-house made jam – yum! Those little cookies are like coffee cake crumbles, only bigger!

Te Bella and Buddy Brews coffee are also inside – I enjoyed a lovely soy Chai latte 😉
Later that day I enjoyed the day off from work chillaxing before heading out to celebrate Tori’s engagement at Ironman Augusta! The girls were meeting up at Timpano in South Tampa for a midweek girls’ night out!
L – Genna, Tori, Meghan; R – Me, Beth, Beka
* Steph was there but got there a little late, so imagine her in that back chair 😉
Keeping with the spirit of fall a few of us ordered the pumpkin spice tini
IMHO more pumpkin spice would have given this baby a kick!
Have you ventured around your ‘hood to try out new places lately?
Moving on to Thursday – This was my morning:
yea.
Coach had on my training schedule today to start 5 – not 4 where I’d just gotten comfortable – 800s for speedwork. I was going to sleep in a bit this morning but decided to meet up with P Funk, Pete, and Kat (#2) at our local parkway instead this morning at the butt crack of dawn so I could ensure these lovely 800s with company. The weather was awe-sum. 65?? In Florida?? Could it be, is it really, FALL???
I was pretty happy with my times too! 1 mi warm up – 5 x 800s w/400 ‘recovery’, 3:42/3:48/3:45/3:50/3:46
Done. son.
Today we have an awesome Breast Cancer Walk planned at work today that I’ll be working at, should be fun times…with lots of PINK! I’ll be posting my awesome shirt on Instagram (KatSnF) I’m sure 😉
Happy Thursday errbody! and don’t forget there’s still a Giveaway a-goin’ on until Sunday!
