Sunday’s Weekly Workouts + WINNERS!

ο»ΏThis week has been an awesome one because

Fall is here in Florida! – kind of

My lungs are doing a daily happy dance thanks to the lovely absence of humidity and fresh air outside that isn’t over 80 degrees. Some weather forecasts say that the humidity might return, but I try not to believe what all the naysayers speak of…in my mind, I’m preparing to build a snowman πŸ˜‰

Ok, enough of my silly rambles, let’s recap the week shall we?

How have your weekly workouts been? Feel free to join us every week too!

Keeping with the Weekly Workouts Roundup tune we play each Sunday, here’s my week this past week:

I am getting accustomed to the 5 days of running per week and making sure to keep consistent with my strength training. Dynamic stretching pre-run and some heavy hip stretching along with foam rolling post-run has been a huge help with my recovery – that along with compression everything πŸ˜‰
After I roll, this is how I roll
My speed work has improved immensely and I’m sure my breathing has a huge part to do with that. I’ve been taking my medicine for allergies religiously and feeling a ton better – aside from mid-run hacking that many of my buds are very used to by now. Talking with K and my running partners I’ve thought about trying to incorporate an “on-off” mode for the half to help me with speed here and there while allowing for recovery as well – that way I meet my “secret” goal and of course my “actual” goal for finishing the Women’s Half.
All & all, another awesome week! Thanks to my awesome IRL and bloggy/tweety friends for the constant motivation! Abby makes sure our #AFPhotoaDay mafia stays on it, Gina makes me laugh daily as we allow our dogs to online date, K listens to my loogy hacking on long runs, and Michelle takes my criticism as endearing affection πŸ˜‰
Oh! And thanks to all who participated in my Frush Giveaway – I have 2 WINNERS!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Yay Steph & Michelle!

I have another couple of Giveaways planned that I can’t wait to do with you guys!

Have a happy and fantabulous Sunday errone! πŸ˜‰

My allergies and asthma has been brutal too. I feel your pain, but the last couple of days have been better. Now, the controlled forest fire burns are getting to my lungs. UGH!

I need to post my work-outs like that to show my readers what I do during the week. Right now, with hubby’s travel schedule and the kids’ crazy schedule, I’m lucky if I can fit my runs in. When I post my work-outs, I’ll link up. Promise!

Great work this week Kat! You are going to smoke the Half Marathon. You should sign up for the half marathon for Best Damn Race as well.

Great running! The foam roller and compression are so helpful… I don’t know how I used to run without them. Still humid here (TX) but fall is slowly coming!
