Weekly Workouts Roundup 12/16

Looks like taking it easy at the Holiday Half did me good, because it’s been a good … take that back … SWELL week in workouts!

Feel free to link up with Meghan, Genna, and myself any time this week with you week in workouts!

Week of 12/10 – Birthday week!

After running the Holiday Half on Sunday, I decided against rest the day after and did a 2 mile easy run. It began very slow, but got me jumpstarted for the rest of the week. My routine has been run/workout, ice, shower, TENS machine! It’s made a huge difference in my recovery, I feel, and I’ll continue to use the heck out of Doc Oc! I was pretty happy to squeeze in my miles yesterday between the Color Run and plan to run recovery later today. I’ve gotten my stride back finally! These lovely new Pure Cadence sneaks have definitely helped! I now have 4 pair…they just work for me! They might tack on miles quicker than other shoes, but are nice to my toesies and run after run thats been proven.

My next Half isn’t until January for the Disney Half at Marathon weekend. I haven’t eventhought about the half as I’m SO excited to cheer on my running partner Kris and some other friends running the full the next day! This is her first and she’s ITCHING to put on her “26.2” magnet with pride, as she should be!

Last night we had such fun at our friend Casey’s holiday party – triathletes and runners can clean up better than anyone let me tell you! 😉

How was your week in workouts?

Have you entered to win some compression love?

It’s a really great experience and for the the distance was just right! I would love to link in with your weekly workout roundup, but am not sure how. Here is the link to my first ever featured yoga workout. You look so cute. Great job on the workouts. Cannot wait until I am healthy enough to add speed work back in. Hate it, but need it.

Even with the holidays coming up, I managed to complete all but one of my scheduled workouts–woohoo! It’s so easy for fitness to take a back seat this time of year, which is OK, but I’m much more fun to be around when I sweat almost every day, so it’s better for everyone if I workout. 😉
