Motivational Monday – Featured Sneakers #39

It’s that time again – Monday, MONDAY! and it’ll be October tomorrow?! Where’d September go?!

We had an awesome time last night at the Twenty One Pilots/Panic at the Disco/Fall Out Boy concert! We REALLY wanted to stay for the encore, but knew Monday morning would NOT be friendly to us if we were stuck in that traffic jam 😉

After 22 miles run this weekend, I’ll be enjoying some cross training – a.k.a. lifting heavy things and riding the bicycle – as we all stay on the up & up this Motivational Monday!

This week’s Featured Sneakers belong to a fellow Fitbloggin pal, Amy, who is a dancin’ machine! I had no idea the journey Amy took until she sent me her F.S. story! What an inspirational, kind, fun, and upbeat person she is! She’s also passionate about fundraising to support T1 diabetes!

What is your favorite way to workout/exercise: I have to pick ONE?! Right now I’m in love with weight training circuits with my training group, Hot yoga, and of course RUNNING!
What is your #1 cheat food: Reese’s peanut butter cups…..they’re too delicious (which is why I never keep them at home!)
What advise do you have for those starting on a fitness journey: Start SMALL. You do not have to change EVERY aspect of your life to get started! Sometimes the best thing you can ever do is just change one small thing! Whether it is adding in a walk to your daily routine, or switching from Whole Milk to 2% milk. Small changes add up! So don’t get discouraged and keep pushing on!

Dream destination race/location: I’ve got a whole bucket list of race destinations (I’m completing a Run ALL 50 States challenge with a friend!) but top of the list is Rome Marathon after seeing Spirit of the Marathon II!
Favorite inspirational fitness personality/trainer: Do I have to choose?!

Workout apparel must have (+brand):
Lululemon, Athleta, Under Armour, Brooks Adrenalines, Mizuno Wave Sayonaras (newest obsession for speed work!)
Motivational motto/quote: At any given moment, YOU have the power to say: this is NOT how the story ends…

I always love “meeting” new bloggers on your featured sneakers. It looks like from the photos that Amy has lost a ton of weight and that is awesome. By the way, I felt the same way after seeing Spirit of the Marathon 2. I love Rome and that would be a great race destination!

I like how people who are more serious about running than I am always have a list of destinations that they would like to go to. I have a list but for traveling, not specifically for competition. I think that knowing which events you want to participate in is a good goal. Thanks for the pictures and the motivation, on this Monday 😉
