This year has been a crazy [but awesomely] busy one for sure!
(See original post HERE for complete details and a list of the fabulous ladies I’m partnering with for our year of MAKING THINGS HAPPEN!)
The purpose of #GoalGetter2013 was to keep ourselves accountable for 2013 goals in the hopes that we would remain focused and achieve them by year’s end!
Pat Williams summed up Goal setting best when he said “Set goals…long term, short term..just set them! When you have nothing to work towards and no goals, you begin to die as a person with nothing to work towards!”
Here’s how I did with my 2013 goals during July & August –
Purchase my CPT kit to certify by Summer 2013 – Passed July 9! Working on more CEUs to learn different skills and possibly start teaching end of 2013/2014 – for now, friends are client/guinea pigs
Continue our 15 hours a week (at least) commitment for hubby/wife QT – We get more like 20+ hours and that’s a lot! He’s definitely been my rock th rough marathon training!
Read my bible, continue to, daily – I get updates from my Daily Bible app still and we’ll start Bible study with close friends of ours soon – nothing like learning around good people!
Run with hubs as he rehabs his ankle, sign him up for a race – He’s run a 5k in May, did the Disneyland 10k in August, and told me he wants to run the Rock n’Roll Vegas half with November 17! He’s up to 9 miles for a long run now and on his way to running his first half – I couldn’t be prouder!
Train for & safely run my first full Marathon – My plan started July 1 & I’m less than 4 weeks away from the big day! I’ve had my ups and downs with training, but it’s been an awesome journey that I can’t wait to see the results with at Marine Corps Marathon!
Make yoga my friend again and do it regularly – I’ve created a stretch/ice/heat routine post-runs, but definitely haven’t dedicated as much time as I want to towards yoga. I miss it!
Just keeeeeeep running
Runcations: this has definitely been the year of the Racecation! We’ve traveled quite a bit, enjoying time in new cities but also enjoying time running new race courses we might not get to run again. DC for Marine Corps Marathon is up next and Vegas 3 weeks later in November!
Doing my first Full Mary, at MCM! – Feel free to donate to my MCM charity (right sidebar: Team TLT4C – The Little Things for Cancer) to help me run my hardest for an awesome cause!
These checkins are definitely helping me stay focused and accountable!
3 months until the end of 2013?!
How is it possible to achieve set goals?
* Do you make goals that are attainable
* Do you check in regularly
* Do you include others to hold yourself accountable
So, how has your goal setting gone for this year?
