Reader Roundup: 2014’s goals in ONE word

In my POST on 2014 Goals I mentioned using ONE WORD as a focus and intention for the New Year!
I wanted to ROUND UP what others commented as there are a TON of inspirational and awesome submissions to get you thinking too – WHAT IS YOUR ONE WORD for GOAL FOCUS in 2014??

Nanci @ This Crazy Life of Mine: Determination!!!!

Steph @ OrangeSpoken:  MOVE!

Michael Moran: Focused

Steph L:  Honeymoon a.k.a. Bikini

Melanie :  Change

Heather @ Through Heather’s Looking Glass: Optimism – looking at the glass at half full!

Marcia @ TravelRun Eat: Strength

Mari: ABS

Sarah H: Nutrition

Amalia: Gratitude!

Brad @ Iron Goof: Success!

Carrie @ Fitness and Frozen Grapes : Finding  balancefor me too. Last year, I jumped into triathlon and threw myself into training–and had so much fun! However, my social life (in terms of non-triathlete friends and parties) really took a backseat. This year, making time for non-triathlon things will be more a priority.

Marcia @ Teamarcia: My word of the year is CAN, as in dammit YES I CAN! My goals for 2014 will center on DETERMINATION. I am DETERMINED to complete 14 races of all different distances and I will purposely choose races that keep me focused and DETERMINED to strengthen my abilities as an athlete.

Meghan @ Little Girl in the Big World: My word is going to have to be balance. It’s going to be a hard year with all the training I’ll have to do, but if I can maintain a life balance, I know I’ll be successful in my endeavors this year.

Balance can sometimes mean handling interruptions, like T25 getting eaten by the DVD player!

Mindy @ Road Runner Girl: My word for the year is Believe! Believe that I can do it…and I will! 🙂

Kierston @ CandyFit: My word is Faith 🙂

Jennifer @ Pug Pug : My word will be IMPROVEMENT. Everything I do will be towards bettering myself and my life in 2014.

Jess @ Just Call Me Janks: My word is BE. It allows me to live in the moment, but also serves as a driving force. I don’t want to try, hope, wish, wait. I want to be.

Nikky J: My word is amazement!

Abby @ Back at Square Zero: My word would be focused. I need to focus on getting healthy first as I think that will lead to all my other goals.

Laura Anderson: Consistent/Consistency. Majority of my 2014 goals can be accomplished simply by being more consistent in all aspects of my life.

Paige Podbelsek  : My word for 2014 is Commit. 🙂

Step into 2014 and COMMIT!

Stephanie @Catladyruns: DARING – I’m pursuing goals that I never thought possible. My new attitude- I’ll never know what I can do if I don’t dare to find out!

Speaking of GOAL SETTING – don’t forget to Join in the “Just 1 Thing” Challengeloop for the month of January!

Do these ONE WORD GOALS ring true for you – a FOCAL POINT for the year –
to help you be a GAME CHANGER and not a RESOLUTIONER?

This is great! One word is powerful. I’m going with three this year – Fearless. Confident. Happy. One follows each other.

I don’t have one word but I have tried to incorporate the saying, “How am I going to be an optimist about this” as I look at the world this year. In addition to my #14in2014 goals.

I love all of theses that I can’t just pick one soooo I’m thinking my one word should be ‘focus’. It’s clear I’m not, lol.

Love this roundup. It is fun to read about everyone’s desired focuses for the year. My word for the year is going to be “believe.” A strong mind and mental game brings incredible strength to the physical side. I just started capturing this power at the end of last year and I want to keep harnessing how believing in yourself and trusting in your abilities can really take you to new heights. Thanks for sharing.
