Whether it’s regarding my personal career or fitness journey, I tend to get very hard on myself. I expect perfection through all of the effort I put out and have to constantly remind mysef that it’s OKAY to FAIL as long as I continue to STRIVE FOR SUCCESS.
I was able to review a book by a Fitfluential friend of mine, Jeremy Scott, called Make Success Mandatory: Discovering Your Gift & Giving It Back To The World – since he calls himself the “Master of Failure” I knew it was a read I had to dig into that would help me with taking it too hard on myself.
The premise of the book focusing on finding that GIFT you have to give to others and just how to do that with focus, planning, and determination!
Jeremy came from a background very similar to mine, he sat in a desk job he felt he didn’t belong at and went through school not feeling like he fit in. He discovered his love for Fitness and on a whim moved out of state only to find his true calling and passion in life that he could make a living with.
Without giving everything away, the 22 Exercises take someone through the process of focusing on what they love to do and how that can impact others. From there, you take the time to devise a plan and turn negative vibes and thoughts into positive and powerful motivation.
Jeremy is an inspirational fitness coach and motivator – you should definitely check out his book! It’s a good reminder of how hard our efforts should be in order to reach our goals!
