Training Tip of the Week: The PiYo Ankle Connect Plank

For this week’s Training Tip of the Week I’ll talk about another move within the PiYo workout: Ankle Connect Plank!

 

This move, just like many in Insanity and PiYo, has it’s modification(s) so that anyone at any level can attempt it! The key to remembering where to start is that you want to be able to PROGRESS a movement rather than have to back off of a move because of difficulty.

 

* Remember the basics with a plank, your hands and feet shouldn’t have to move their positions – you can hinge from plank to down dog like I discussed in THIS POST.

 

* Keep the top leg straight and utilize the entire core musculature to diagonally take it from top to bottom.
