Week of November 22, 2014:
Saturday 11/22– Insanity practice + PiYo class
Sunday 11/23 – Insanity/PiYo + Disney walking all day
Monday 11/24– PiYo/Insanity practice for lower body + PiYo Class
Tuesday 11/25 – Body Beast Shoulders + Speed Intervals
Wednesday 11/26 – Insanity AM class + Back/Bis + PM Fit Camp Class
Thursday 11/27 – Booty Blast + T25 Dynamic Core
Friday 11/28 (planned) – Insanity Asylum Strength
This week’s workouts had a plan – TO ‘EARN’ THAT THANKSGIVING SPLENDOR!
Since we were hosting Thanksgiving this year, which was kind of a spur-of-the-moment decision, I tried to ‘plan’ ahead the week to avoid too many sneaky indulgences the week OF and instead enjoy that day with family traditions and new recipes!
I worked on drinking more water and was sure to eat as clean as I could during the week, avoiding the occasional potluck at the office. I pushed my classes harder in preparation, for both them and myself! I’m sure they were so appreciative of that too 😉
I focused with my online group on NON-SCALE VICTORIES. We took the time to credit ourselves for milestones like belts and pants getting looser, endurance increasing, running PRs, and compliments from those we know! Celebrating progress is a great way to keep the momentum going – even through the holiday season, no excuses!
All week I cooked and prepped so that the day of Thanksgiving we were able to spend time with our family and not be stuck in the kitchen all day. That meant I took some shortcuts and ordered a cooked turkey and used the heck out of my crockpot. I did make homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce, infused water, sweet potatoes, veggies and antipasti on a platter, and cookies if that’s any consolation.
Seeing my family together – relaxing and laughing together – was well worth the time spent preparing.
They remind me WHY I do WHAT I do. WHY I work so many hours each day to create the life we want to live for them.
The plan now? NOT TO LOSE MOMENTUM!
