My addiction to Travel: Experiences > Things

Have you noticed that I like to travel? Like, a lot.

Tis true. While I don’t necessarily enjoy the hustle and bustle of the airport or sitting in a plane more than 2 hours at a time for fear of fidgeting, I do love the outcome of landing in a new place to see new sights …. creating NEW memories with new experiences.

I mean, who can argue with views like this?

The beach on the West coast isn’t too shabby

I get it, I LIVE IN FLORIDA – I have beautiful views in my own backyard! You’re absolutely right, I sure do! I have lived here all of my life and sometimes feel that I take that for granted – I would rather sometimes see the gray and dark tones of the urban city or the rustic backdrop of a mountain instead for a change.

I’m a huge believer in making MEMORIES. Ever since I can remember I haven’t been huge about “things” or tangible gifts. Even when it comes to gadgets, I love a good iPhone, but could be okay watching TV on my laptop and not on a fancy huge flat screen or smart TV.

When I was younger we took a lot of roadtrips up the East Coast and I remember always sitting there gazing out the window looking at all of the new things I wasn’t used to seeing at home. As I’ve gotten older I decided to be able to go back to places I went before to appreciate them as an adult – i.e. Washington, DC and NYC – and go out West to see California and Nevada and even Texas.

Since meeting Gary, I’ve been blessed enough to have a husband who not only lets me run off to travel myself but loves to do it with me.  Call us Mr. and Mrs. Adventure!

I have an ADDICTION TO TRAVEL that I think will never stop. There are still SO MANY places I have yet to go, especially overseas!

My hope when we have a family is that we are able to do roadtrips and go on adventures together to create new memories and share in experiences that can last a lifetime!

We all have our thing, right? 😉

Are you someone who enjoys things or experiences?

Where would you travel that you haven’t been yet?

What’s your favorite trip been and why?

I am totally with you on traveling! My family always jokes around that they can’t keep up with me and where I am headed next. Running hasn’t helped the travel bug either because now I just combine the two! Travel and making memories are so much better than things!

I love to travel as well Kat! I don’t really get to do it too often but I hope that changes over the years. I love making those memories and seeing and experiencing new things! That one thing about running races that I love…they usually involve traveling! 🙂

I totally agree! I get itchy when I haven’t been anywhere in more than a month. Even if it’s somewhere new in my area, even a new hike or something. LOVE traveling!
