Thanks, Shaun T: How INSANITY changed my life

Many of you know my weight loss story and how doing the INSANITY workout broke a plateau I was stuck at for SO LONG…

But today I want to talk about how the program, and it’s creator literally helped change the ENTIRE COURSE of my LIFE from when I started back in 2010 through now as we’re passing the midpoint of 2015 – and I thought that I would put it into video so we could have a face-to-face chat if that’s okay!

If you are unable to view the video or are more of a reader, I’ll give you another version of the story…

I was a negative Nelly before…like probably right up until a couple of years ago if that. I was the epitome of someone who would complain but have ZERO solutions to solve the issue. No one likes that kind of person, but that was me! I decided to let control go of my life in 2010 and when I discovered INSANITY it did much more for me than just give me a new and effective workout option.

It taught me the value of HARD WORK and sticking to something to SEE IT THROUGH until the bitter end! Even at the end of the 60 days it stuck with me. I was, from then on, addicted to a challenge – I began to set BIG GOALS and made sure to create a plan to tackle them and finish what I started. I ran numerous races and stuck to a schedule of blogging and sharing my experience here on this blog (Named SneakersandFingerpaints.com before.. I know…tragic.) When Shaun spoke to me on the TV and made me laugh or looked me right “in the eye” to encourage me to do one more rep…to push even harder than I thought I could I felt like he believed in me. He believed I could do more than I THOUGHT I could…

I decided to DO SOMETHING with my story rather than just let it be a phase in my life – I would have never thought that I would turn into an INSANITY Instructor in 2013, a personal trainer in the same year, and continue forward with working to HELP OTHERS with their fitness. I now see myself as someone who is brutally honest, working to pass on the same values that INSANITY taught me unto others …

YES… it will be hard.

NOPE…it’s not comfortable.

but YES it’s worth it and so are YOU.

So, STICK WITH IT, and learn something from every achievement and every set back.

TRY HARDER tomorrow.

Don’t be AFRAID to set BIG GOALS because ANYTHING is POSSIBLE when you TRUST and BELIEVE you CAN!

I also learned: Don’t let your circumstances define you!

I’m not just someone who suffers from depression, was overweight and happy, is asthmatic and can’t breathe easily…

I am NOT an Insanity Master Trainer Ambassador, Fitness Coach and Trainer, and paying forward what I learned instead of being a victim of circumstance!

Have you ever had an experience in life that may have seemed like a time and place event but it literally changed your life??
Have you done Insanity before – do you love crazy hard experiences/workouts?!
