I am guilty of always expecting so much out of myself day in and day out. With pregnancy, and weight loss beforehand, and in life I’ve had to learn the power of ACCEPTING YOURSELF WHERE YOU ARE.
This isn’t easy! Many of us have been hardwired to be super perfectionistic and strive to achieve our very best, but sometimes we can miss the mark! How about those small celebrations between that can move us forward instead of thinking we aren’t doing something ‘good enough’ – those can be missed!
How can we all consistently focus on ACCEPTING OURSELVES in the present moment where we are?
- Set REALISTIC goals, one small one at a time
- Celebrate your WINS
- Surround yourself with POSITIVITY AND POSITIVE PEOPLEs
- Throw PERFECTION out the window
- Be your biggest FAN and not your hardest CRITIC
- Throw those UNREALISTIC DREAMS in the air for later
- Pay kindness forward to someone who needs it
- Realize that ACCEPTANCE isn’t selling yourself short
Every year I make a vision board – that vision board houses all of my goals I want to see come true for the YEAR. With that, I then break those up into MONTHLY goals, and then weekly and so on. I feel that setting smaller more ATTAINABLE goals is the key to ACCEPTING myself where I am when I do check ins. I do believe ANY GOALS are key to living life with purpose so we have a drive to focus on!
YOU have to realize that you ARE GOOD ENOUGH — you are forward moving, ever evolving, and on the road to an amazing life! If we continue to badger our own inner thoughts with negativity, how can we move forward instead of looking back with regret?
Sometimes we have hiccups, or blips…injuries or bad days … babies in our belly for Pete’s sake … but ANY effort is better than NO effort, and we want to celebrate those little things to see that we are right where we should be. If we’re not, all we can do is restrategize, and try again!
