I wrote all about the workouts/fitness events within IDEA World Fitness Blogfest and now we’re going to dig farther into the expo/sponsors as well as reuniting with my blogger buds!

Bangin’ Sponsors and a Mega Expo
Whenever a conference comes into town or I attend one out of town, I make sure I squeeze in lots of time to explore. I want to explore the city, the surroundings, the different sessions, AND I want to explore the glorious EXPO! IDEA World has one of THEE BEST expos I’ve ever been to! I’ve attended a few IDEAFIT events, and have never been disappointed!
There’s so much more than you could ever ask for including vendor booths, work demonstrations, equipment demonstrations, cooking demos, food samples, supplement samples … free goodies galore!
My husband is the king of the freebie, so he was happy to learn that he was able to snag a free pass for the Expo online!
Since we were supported by so many amazing brands at Blogfest, I wanted to be sure to visit their booths and show them some love!
I was glad that I lived locally, because there was so much good stuff to snag to take home — and YES I bought much of it 😉 Blogging has its perks, but I also want to be sure to show support for small businesses from all over!
I got to sample some fun workouts I haven’t tried before, mingle with many fit friends from all over, and even met Elaine Lallane (the late great Jack Lallane’s wife) who is a 91 year old inspirational wonder!
Back to my blogging roots
If we have happened to be blends (aka blogging friends) you know that I’ve been in the blog world since around 2012. I started to run and started my fitness journey so I wanted a way to stay accountable and meet others who were in the same season in life with me. I learned that social media wasn’t just a way to exist and connect, but to truly stay accountable and meet some of the most amazing people.
With any season in life, I had some that took me in and out of the world of blogging. I could’ve taken more time to talk about EVERYTHING here, but we all know that sometimes we need to step back in order to observe things from a bird’s eye view before taking action. It also meant for me to be silent in some areas of my life that deserved privacy while I got my sh** together …
I’ve learned through this most recent crazy season of life that you learn who has your back. You learn who your true friends and family are when you’re in the trenches and need someone to pull you out. I may have been ‘gone’ from the Blogging world and Blogfest, but when I showed up it was like we didn’t miss a beat!
I remembered instantly WHY I started my blog in the first place and I couldn’t abandon something that’s brought me so much joy. Writing gives me an outlet to write my journal for others to see. I may not share 100% of my life, but I share a lot of it and in an honest way. I do it so that I can be connected and express myself while also connecting with others who may need to hear my truth. Sometimes we don’t have someone near us who ‘gets us’ in our worst moments, but we could meet someone who does that happens to live 1000’s of miles away…
I’m going to share my story. I’m going to open up my life again. I’m going to be honest and open as always. I’m going to work to inspire others who need to be relatable to someone who’s in the trenches and juggling 5 million things in life.
If something no longer serves a positive purpose in your life, PURGE IT.
If it brings you positivity and release from what ails you and fills your cup, KEEP DOING IT.
I hope to see everyone at IDEA World 2018 which will be held in San Diego!
Do you plan to attend in 2018?
