July goals: Recap…baby steps!

Accountability is my friend. Accountability is my friend. Accountability is my friend.

I am pretty gosh darn proud of myself for making sure to not only remember my goals (focus is always important) for July, BUT also to squash some of the biggest to-do’s I’ve had to get done in a long time that I’ve just been sitting on (bad Kat!) Let’s recap, shall we?

1) Finish the #RWRunStreak (Runner’s World Run Streak) – run at least a mile a day since Memorial Day
Completed! I ran 38 days consecutively and even have the badge to prove it…kind of 😉
2) Save $500 for the September NYC trip
DONE! Better yet we saved about TWICE that, boo yah!
3) Once thank you cards come in, get them sent out by the middle of July!
DONE! I forgot one Aunt….sorry Auntie..but caught that one a week after I sent out the whole batch
4) After the Run Streak, Run at least 4 times a week (at least 2 mi a day) & stay on schedule for 1/2 training
Still going strong! I typically run: Saturday – long run, Tuesday 5 miler, Thursday – speed or 4 miler, Sunday – recovery
5) Send biweekly training logs to coach (or he’ll email blast me)
Completed! He’s out of town right now so I got lucky 😉
6) Finish Billy’s painting
Completed! there is even a post to prove it 😉
7) Pre-plan blogs (to avoid having to blog daily and start from scratch)
Still doing! I usually like to pre-plan especially when adding in photos, etc. and it’s been helping a ton!
8) No buying any running gear (I have enough….we all know that)
Achieved! Gary bought me 2 shirts and a sports bra, but I didn’t buy it for myself…red tape, I get around it!
9) Eat at least 2 servings of veggies a day (even if it includes Nutrilite)
Completed! I have been SOO SOO SOO much better avoiding the elusive candy dish!
I’m even giving away some Nutrilite in honor of this achievement! Click here to see how to enter!
Having an arsenal of these babies has helped immensely…I’ve been making sure to buy loads of fresh fruits and veggies weekly! You should see our freezer!
10) Thank people daily even for the little things
Completed! Even with a ton of changes at work I’ve been making sure to thank peeps because life is just too stinkin’ short!

Thanks for all of your support and making me uber accountable! I will be posting August goals here shortly too….let’s hope for more awesomeness!
What did you achieve in July? I want to know!
Comment love makes me happy 😉

Gotta love that red tape action. Nice move! lol!

And awesome on the run streak. You is my herrow.

I managed not to puke in a pool. Does that count as an accomplished goal?

Great job. That was a lot of goals to tackle! My goal for July was to get my blog off the ground and subsequently do something cool and active every weekend and write about it. I did the stuff, but didn’t end up writing about all of it. I need to work on that this month. After my neck heals. 🙂

Great job with july, good luck with August! Go you!
