Nominated for an award! Kind of

My pal Jennifer from Wine to Weightlifting, who was also one of my Featured Sneakers on an ol’ Motivational Monday, nominated me for a very prestigious award….
Ok, so prestigious to me 😉 Thanks Jennifer
With the additional of new readers and followers, I thought this would be a good opportunity to share even more deep dark secrets – 8 to be exact! (Even though I have spilled a lot – just yesterday admitting who my ex is) The Very Inspiring Blogger Award means giving your readers some insight into you, and nominating others to do the same. So here goes nothing! Oh, I’ll add in some nominees at the bottom, if you guys want to take a stab at this 😉
1. I hate cold onions. Bleh. I really do. Cold, cut up on salads etc. No thanks. Hubs hates them in general and we usually order all things at restaurants sans-onions. Funny thing is I LOVE onion rings…hubs will literally peel out the onion and eat the outside. Things that make you go hmm.
2. I said I’d never ever do a mud run but am doing one
November 10. I’m a walking contradiction I tell you. Really, I’m mostly just scared to hurt myself. Half marathons and races in general aren’t the least expensive things in the world, so being that I have loose ankles, why take the chance? For Pretty Muddy I am going to take my sweet time, enjoy all that the ‘race’ has to offer, and get dirty. That’s it.
3. I get sucked into the stupidest T.V. shows. Hard time…Ridiculousness…Bridezillas…Snapped…I go without cable for 3 years and now that I have it I need boundaries, obviously.
4. I grew up eating rice at every meal. Having a Chinese mom allows for that lovely luxury. Now I’ve adjusted nicely to brown rice and only have white rice as an occasional ‘treat.’ Fried rice, now that’s one level up!
5. I used to want to be a forensics specialist. Back in High School I was intrigued with science way more than I am now…I teetered on art and science {nerd alert}…and joined a magnet program for Criminal Justice. One look at crime scene photos and I was out. Back to making pretty pictures for this girl! Oh and watching Dexter instead 😉
6. I can’t drink milk or eat pork. I have nothing against them, but they have something against me. Meanies. I’ve been mostly lactose intolerant {yes, TMI} since I was in my teens and just recently pork hasn’t sat well with me. I love almond milk and understand that I’ll never be on Team Refuel or think that pork is the other white meat.
7. All of my left running shoes look like this on the inner edge:
I love my Brooks Pure Cadence sneaks! But on to Ravennas!
The way that I’ve always overpronated, I scrape that side of my shoes. Many runners I know scrape their own legs, so this is a welcome change to me I guess? It’s a little annoying when I get a new pair of shoes I end up seeing these lovely marks after logging a bit of miles, but I’ve just taken it as the way I are.
8. I don’t do haunted houses but I love zombies and pumpkins. I’ve been to Halloween Horror Nights and Howl O’Scream along with many other haunted house variations. I have a big problem not looking at all of the cool creepy stuff inside of them without wanting to run out at full speed (hence, why I run – it’s not fun, it’s a DRILL people!) I don’t like people in my face with masks and all of that nor do I like being confined in small spaces. I just run. Running makes you stand out like a sore thumb to those ghouls.
I stole this from B.o.B. It is of her and P-Funk in a haunted house at Howl O’ Scream a week or so ago. I was invited, I didn’t go. P’s face = why I don’t go.
On the other hand I LOVE LOVE LOVE zombie shows and movies (I own all of them) and enjoy pumpkin-flavored anything. Every year we watch (and I used to before hubs came along) “Nightmare before Christmas” every Halloween and Christmas. Told ya, I’m a walking contradiction
Yes, I know I’m a quirky one 😉 Anything I don’t know about you?
Who are my nominees for most Inspiring Blogger award?

I’m off to do a mean circuit WOD .. I’m sensing jumping pull ups, burpees, and box jumps, oh my!

I love this so much! The love of haunted things, and the trashy TV shows too. I love my Ravennas too – they feel so comfortable.

Very cool to learn more about you 🙂

I hate raw onions, too. And I’m scared of mud or obstacle runs. I sprained my ankle 3 years ago, and I’m terrified of it happening again!

Fun to get to know you a little better! 🙂 You’re better off not being able to drink milk. Almond milk is way better – especially if you consider the amount of pus in cow’s milk. Ew. Gross.
