Motivational Monday – Featured Sneakers #8

Happy Motivational Monday errone!

This is the first Monday in 6 weeks that I don’t have to run! Hubs was pretty excited that I wanted to ride bikes this morning with him before we began our hectic weeks at work – a.k.a. Manic Monday. (We did have to make an out and back to fill up my bikes’ tires after I realized I was winded only because my tires were sans air.)

Who’s got ‘sleepy face’? We do!
When we got home, before he grabbed my iPad to play Pandora to sing in the shower to, we heated up some of the Pumpkin Banana Protein Muffins I made last night! Covered in Peanut Butter & Co. White Chocolate PB, yum!

What is your favorite way to workout/exercise:  Running is my absolute favorite type of workout/exercise!  I prefer running the longer distances.

What is your #1 cheat food: Probably Red Velvet Cake!
What advice do you have for those starting on a fitness journey:  Consistency!  It might not be easy or fun at first, but once you get past the uncomfortable phase, it gets better!  Stick with it. The benefits and rewards are endless.  I’m also big on recovery.  Work hard, but also remember to give yourself time to recover.  Be smart and listen to your body.
Dream destination race/location: The Boston Marathon is my ultimate goal and ideal race destination, but the Big Sur Marathon in California would be amazing too!
Favorite inspirational fitness personality/trainer: I would say Dorothy Beal over at Mileposts has been a huge inspiration of mine for a while now.  She’s real, down to earth, and works hard towards her goals.  This is exactly what I hope to be in my fitness journey!

Workout apparel must have (+brand):  I love running with my Garmin.  I generally train and race in Saucony shoes.  My favorite racing top has been my Saucony Hydralite tank-I have it in 3 colors!

    Hubbs and I are wanting to get bikes and start riding too. We’ll probably get two bikes at tax refund time. πŸ™‚
