So today, while I am thankful for all the positivity I have in my life & I want the focus to be on those who still need our help with some ways we can give!
The American Red Cross is still taking donations to help the Hurricane Sandy victims from this past weekend. Also, now not only are they recovering from that storm and rebuilding, but they are awaiting a snow storm on their door step. To Donate, click HERE – any amount big or small can make a big difference!
Crazy Running Girl did a post on a post for a Virtual Run to help the victims of Sandy
I signed up for the race the other day! 🙂 Great post, thanks for sharing!
Love the concept, awesome Jenelle!
Thanks for sharing! I just signed up! I’m going to do it for the WHM!
Good idea!
Oh I love this!!!!! My sister lives in NYC in the center of manhattan basically and was wo power for 6 days! My cousin lives in Chelsea and still does not have it! They also drive 80 miles just to get gas! It’s such a hard thing to wrap your mind around! Thank you Kat! <3
Being a Floridian, I know their pain! I hope they’re ok Jenna! xo
Great post, Kat! I went to Staten Island on Sunday to help out, and the grassroots initiative I volunteered with (NY Runners in Support of SI) is planning another trip(s) this weekend. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to make it because my family is visiting, but I’m sure there will be many opportunities in the upcoming weeks and months to lend a hand.
You’re such a trooper Carrie! xo
Great post, I think it’s a great idea to run the virtual race, I’m def going to sign up! 🙂
Awesome Abby! I did a 10k this morning 🙂
Thankful for everything I have in my life 🙂
So happy to hear that you’re participating in the virtual race. So great. I’m thankful that Hurricane Sandy spared our family, home and neighborhood.
So happy your family is ok Christine! xo. I did a 10k this morning!
Did my morning 7.5 mile run for Sandy as well. Great post!

hat’s a great idea! And I love that you’re using your skills and the things you love to do to help others.
There are so many wonderful events going on… such a great thing. Thoughts and prayers with all involved that they get the help they need/deserve.
Great post. I think people really need to know about the events going on! I’m donating blood on the 21st and running a different virtual race. 🙂
I think it is fabulous how much the running community is coming together.
I am thankful for my ridiculous amazing family, my fabulous friends, and this fantastic blog world I have been introduced too (including you!).
I love this post, Kat (gave it a shout out on my FB page yesterday) and I love what runners are doing to help. I need to look into the run.
Thanks for the shout out homie! 🙂
