It was Christmas in January! Since finding out I made the Brooks I.D. Team this year, I was super excited to represent a brand that I truly love! Add on the fact that they’re outfitting me and you have one happy Kat!

This week’s Featured Sneakers belong to Phaedra a.k.a. Red Running Shoe! She’s been a Twitter bud of mine and a participant in our lovely photo challenges! Btw, it’s almost time for the January photo reveal for our #goalgetter2013 challenggggggeeee!!
Name: Phaedra Kennedy
What is your favorite way to workout/exercise: Running (especially speed work), strength training, swimming (excellent recovery workout) and busting a move on the dancefloor. I also enjoy cycling but given that it’s the middle of winter in Canada, I am relegated to riding on the trainer in my basement, which isn’t so much fun.
What is your #1 cheat food: It’s a tie between ice cream and wine.
What advise do you have for those starting on a fitness journey: Consistency is key! If you miss a workout or fall off the healthy eating wagon, it’s not the end of the world. Just make sure you get back on that wagon as soon as possible.
Dream destination race/location:The Marathon Du Medoc in France. Wine at almost every aid station and you run it in costume. SIGN. ME. UP.
Favorite inspirational fitness personality/trainer: Sister Madonna Buder – The “Iron Nun”. Seriously, you need to google her.
Workout apparel must have (+brand): Zoot. It’s mainly geared to triathletes but their running stuff is really nice too.
Motivational motto/quote: Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever – I like Bob’s version of this better, ha ha.
