While studying for the CPT exam, I’ve learned more about how to structure my eating so that I get the most out of the timing and assortment with the food I eat. My goals are to eat a balance of healthy fats (nuts, fish, etc.) and complex carbs (i.e. veggies galore) for energy along with lean and healthy proteins to help my muscles recover from workouts. With protein intake, sometimes grabbing chicken breast or egg whites just isn’t convenient for any of us. Instead, we rely on quick protein sources that can work just the same but that also taste delicious!
Designer Whey is a company that provides me that very luxury & I was excited to have the opportunity to try them out!
With an assortment of products, they provide protein that helps individuals succeed with their fitness goals while enjoying a delicious variety of options for protein choices!
Our values are equally resolute. We only work with quality, scientifically proven ingredients, ensuring each Designer Whey product delivers the optimal blend of proteins, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Itβs this unique formula that helps to reduce appetite, build lean muscle, improve body composition, enhance the benefits of exercise, aid in recovery, and much more.
Verdict: Awesome Protein for stellar muscle recovery!
I’d sum up Designer Whey with these words:
* Convenience
*Tasty
* Variety
* Nutritious

I made an awesome shake (creamsicle!) from fresh orange juice, almond milk, and White Chocolate Designer Whey powder! Easy! I love how the powder is super dissolvable and doesn’t clump at all!
From shakes to bars and weight loss to recovery, Designer Whey offers many options that fit all individual needs and goals!

ready-to-drink deliciousness! (Hubs and I fought over this one π

Their Protein-2-Go tastes great and at 50 calories with 10 grams of protein, is perfect for a post-workout refreshment!
They are also super-affordable & have a wide variety of flavors for any taste palette!

So, why is Protein important?
In a nutshell: You get your energy from two sources: carbs and fat. When you workout, you tear your muscles and alter their structure, requiring them to have protein as fuel to recover and be ready to do more work at the next workout! For our muscle, joint, and bone cells to grow and repair, we need protein!Since I’m not a certified CPT just yet, I’ll note this source π
Visit Designer Whey on Facebook and Twitter to learn even more about their protein-packed product line!
What ways do you incorporate protein into your diet?
If protein was White Chocolate flavored, would you eat it up?
I would do white chocolate. Normally I do chocolate. I like Muscle Milk, never tried Designer Whey. 18 g of protein is good.
It’s so yum!
Ive loved the DW since…back in the beginning of my weight training and perhaps THEIR days too.
I need to see when they launched :0)
They have a cool timeline on their site!
I love my DW! I used the whilte chocoalte to make a microwave carrot cake and a “cream” for my strawberries. It’s all gone now, so I’m on to the french vanilla… but that white chocolate was my fav (and I don’t even LIKE white choc!).
Mine is almost gone!
love love love designer whey!!!
They are great company
I love Designer Whey. Although I’d pass on the white chocolate. Not a fan. Give me chocolate!!!
You definitely have to try it doesn’t taste like white chocolate per se but a great mix for dips etc.!
Sweet! I’ve never tried Designer Whey, but my fitness facility’s cafe uses it in its smoothies–I’ll definitely order one soon!
You totally should!
Great review! I’ve been hearing a lot about Designer Whey lately, glad you liked them!
Thanks Laura super yummy!
I’m not a big white chocolate fan, but I’d be willing to give the protein mix a try! I usually spring for vanilaa since I use it in baking (pancakes, muffins, etc) pretty frequently. I haven’t tried DW, but I should once I’m out of my 10lb bag I’m using right now!
It’s super yummy though, tastes more like a mousse
In incorporate it in every way π I have protein with every meal.
DW, I’ve never tried or seen it here.
White Chocolate…EEEEEEEYUMMM!
I wonder if it sells in Canada?! They’re live on twitter with answers to any questions I’m sure
I’m a protein freak nowadays and I love designer whey!!! The white chocolate would be amazing! I think their bars are my favorite right now, but I really love the strawberry powder too!! Yummy stuff!!! Have a super day, love!
You’d love it Jenna, have a wonderful day! π
The flavors look delicious and there is such a variety!
I agree, it’s a great chance of pace from clumpy protein!
Mmmmm…white chocolate! Never tried Designer Whey but have been hearing a lot of good reviews.
It’s super yum, especially post-run! π
Yummy! I am loving Designer Whey. Need to make the creamsicle shake!
It’s definitely orange season in Florida!
Great review Kat! Wishing I could use these products but my body just does not like Milk ;( I get my protein the old school way, eggs, meat, avocado, etc still as I have yet to find a suppliment that is allergy free for me.
see I’m usually very sensitive to lactose, and was great with their products! I’ve also heard Neocell is lactose free π
If protein was white chocolate flavored I wouldn’t have to worry about not having enough protein in my diet. I’d have to worry about having too much. Even your creamsicle shake made me want gobble it all up.
It’s so good, and changing it up makes things fun!
Well, from Instagram, you probably know I love this brand & all their goodies! Proud to be an affiliate for them! π Great review!
I’ve seen that Jody, great affiliate for sure!
I love learning about which kind of protein and protein powders different athletes use. This looks like a good one (I like that you said it doesn’t clump). I usually try to eat protein with every meal in the form of nuts, fish, chicken or eggs. I’d rather chocolate flavored than white-chocolate flavored!
It’s definitely tasty for sure!
I use Aria Vanilla – it is a division of Designer Whey. I am definitely interested in trying more of the DW product line.
Id like to try that one!
Great Post Kat! I have used Designer Whey since the late 90s since they were one of the original whey protein powders available. It has been nice to see them continue to thrive and survive through the health and fitness boom. White Chocolate? Mix it with a little almond butter and some blueberries and yeah, I’d be all over it.
The Flavor variety is great
I LOVE Designer Whey!!! The White Chocolate protein powder is my favorite!
I’m running low already!
Never tried Designer Whey. Are they gluten free?? I love shakes that are just ready to chill and grab! I have no time for the blender in the morning.
I know that some of the products are but not all of them but the shakes are great!
I don’t do whey protein but… If I did I would go for this stuff because it seems like they have LOADS of delicious flavors! I wish pea protein had that many flavors! π I WILL CREATE IT!!! Would you buy GiPea Protien? LOL!!
Let’s market it! Lol
The protein to go drink mix sounds amazing. Super easy, not too many calories, and lots of protein. Need!
Super delicious and great for recipes which is your forte!
cannot wait to dig into my white chocolate protein! Just got my goodies and i love them. Love that they use stevia too! and gluten free!
