Motivational Thursday – Featured Sneakers #23

I know it’s been a while since I posted a feature! Sorry for the lapse in time! Races wear me out between the prep and leg work – haha I made a funny. Studying has me focused in that direction, too, which is a great thing!

I’ve been hanging out with an old friend, too.
I’ve decided to do Insanity [at least] once a week to focus on more speed and agility movements all while working up a lovely sweat in the process. Boy have I missed you, Shaun T! I did a review of the workout series HERE as I did the full cycle in 2011!
This week’s Featured Sneakers belong to Tasha! She’s another Brooks ID member & blend of mine who has been running and working on her fitness, getting speedier by the minute! She’s also into crossfit and strength training to assist her with her overall fitness! Check out more about her here!

What is your favorite way to workout/exercise: Running, running, running! I also really like crossfit and cycling. All great cross training components to complement my running addiction.

What is your #1 cheat food: I can only pick one?! I would have to say a BBQ cheeseburger with bacon and onion rings, sweet potato fries and a HUGE beer.

What advise do you have for those starting on a fitness journey: Everyone has to start somewhere. Don’t give up or be discouraged! All the sweat will be worth it in the end.
Dream destination race/location: I don’t really care the location, but I would love to run a race in Europe sometime. The London, Paris or Berlin marathons would be at the top of my list.

Favorite inspirational fitness personality/trainer: Jillian Michaels! I would love to have her train me for the day.

Racing with Girlfriends at the Girlfriends Half Marathon!

Workout apparel must have (+brand): Brooks! Right now I am loving my black glycerin shorts, D’lite mesh tank, and my new pure flows.

Motivational motto/quote: Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world- Marilyn Monroe. I also like this quote I saw on a running t- shirt: Forget the glass slipper, this princess wants running shoes!

    I’m curious to know how insanity goes for you. I’ve been wanting to try it for awhile now. Love your spotlight and I would have to agree with her dream race locations – Europe would be awesome!

    I would absolutely love to take a “racecation” in Europe. That would be so much fun! Fly over a few days before the race, do work and kick butt, and then stay for a week and explore. 🙂

    I’m thinking about insanity. I have p90x and they have some pretty good plyo workouts! Love Tasha! She is so speedy, sweet, and definitely one of my favorite blog/runners!

    Love the Marilyn quote and definitely fits for women who run! I’ve never tried Insanity- do you need equipment at home or is it all body weight/aerobic exercises?

    I am a huge fan of Insanity! It is a hard one, but even incorporating this workout atleast once a week makes a difference! I have a love/hate relationship with Insanity
