Monday’s Motivation #52 – Closing out 2013!

I hope you’re all ready for 2014 because it’s comin’ for ya in a couple of days! 
Where has the year gone?! I’ve got no clue, I just roll with it 😉 We were able to celebrate this weekend with a nice dinner out with friends as we reflect upon the year and prepare for 2014!

A Fun-Fancy-Ish dinner included a wine list on a Kindle! How cool?!

Yea, I’ll get dressed up now and again – but spandex ARE my go-to 😉
Sunday morning I made sure to recovery from the 12 miles I did Saturday (and the wine I had Saturday night) with a trip to the gym for a 5k run and corework with G!

This LAST WEEK OF 2013 ends with a BANG and a BUN! This week’s Monday’s Motivation comes from an adorable runner-blend of mine, Ashley from the Running Bun! She’s had plenty of experience with half marathons, marathons, and road races in general – but also believes in having FUN with them. She’s newly married and expecting a BABY BUN in the oven – I’m so happy for her, check out a little more about her here as we bring Monday’s Motivation (for 2013 anyway) to a close!

What is your favorite way to workout/exercise: Running, Refine Method and although I haven’t done it in a long time, I LOVE boxing.


What is your #1 cheat food: BURRITOS 

AND beer?? 😉 BEFORE and AFTER baby BUN of course


What advice do you have for those starting on a fitness journey: Find a workout that you actually enjoy. You’ll want to go and it won’t feel like work.
 

Dream destination race/location: A marathon in Australia.


Favorite inspirational fitness personality/trainer: I don’t have one. I am much more inspired by a group workout with friends than a celebrity fitness trainer.


Workout apparel must have (+brand): Mizuno shoes, oiselle shorts/tops. Still looking for a perfect sports bra for my new preggo boobs 🙂

    I’m all about smaller goals this year. Last year I set out to conquer all of the things and burnt out quickly. This year, in order to reach bigger goals, I’m setting smaller ones and reevaluating as I succeed.

    I have smaller goals this year, but it still includes 14 races. Longest distance this year will be 13.1. Not ready to take on another 26.2 yet.

    I like the survey. I will have to sit down and put my answers together.

    Thanks for introducing http://www.runningbun.com. It seems both of us have a few things in common – runners, pregnant and expecting girls pretty much at the same time 🙂
