It’s time to hop back on the ACCOUNTABILITY TRAIN to do Roundups each week of workouts – there’s a HALF MARATHON on the horizon, but more on that in another post 😉 This week, it was BACK TO THE GRIND after going away for Birthday fun – libations, WHAT libations??

I included a running schedule within my week so that I could increase mileage once again. Not heavy mileage, but mileage to get me to 13.1 and also incorporate speed training and strength training through Turbo Fire, Insanity, and T25!

In preparation for an AWESOME T25/21 Day challenge I’m hosting January coming up, I’ve been diving into T25 workouts and seeing how they fit into my week a-la-carte style. (FYI if interested in more details about the challenge hit me up!) There IS a plan you can follow for a 5 week program, but you also have the luxury of incorporating the workout into your run plan – like a hybrid workout plan! Core work, an area I NEEDED to focus on once again with a busy schedule in front of me, tends to get the most attention as I work with clients on plank movements and rotations that involve buddy work! I’m always sure to focus on their workout, but if they say they want me in it with them I’m ALL in!

******************************************

I wanted to also share a fun and simple challenge coming up! To kick the new year off right, I’ve teamed up with Challenge Loop again for this challenge:
It won’t be as extensive as August’s Core Focus challenge – BUT it will help you focus on ways for you to change just 1 thing in each day you live that’ll help you have a more fit and healthy life!
I’ll incorporate some exercise movements along with tips, such as:
* Park farther away at work
* Take the stairs instead of the elevator today!
* Stop to do a desk stretch
* Play at a playground for a workout WITH your kids this week
* Plank, don’t worry about time, just PLANK!
* Swap water for all of your beverages today
* Set your alarm 10 minutes earlier to get in a quick circuit workout
* Add one group fitness class to your workout schedule
* Swap one sweet treat with a fruit
* Have your wings naked instead of breaded
Get it?!

I’ve never tracked my workouts on the blog except for marathon training. Maybe I’ll join in 2014! Sounds like a fab challenge.

I think I live this pretty good but I still need to add yoga in at some point & that is my goal in 2014 – but I want to go to a private place & not my gym to make it separate & special to me & no $$ for that yet.. 🙂

Oh I love this new challenge. I enjoyed the last one you had and would like to participate in this one too. You had some great workouts, especially ramping back up your running mileage. See you in a few weeks. We are hoping to get to the tweet up!

I like the Just 1 Thing Challenge – I try to do that with lots of areas of my life since 1 thing is so much more manageable than a long list!!!

Whoops, I forgot to post my recap from this past week too. Don’t you hate it when life gets in the way?
