Plant-based Protein for Athletes – Sunshine Organic Burgers!

Through FitApproach I was given the opportunity to try Sunshine Burger!

Sunshine Burger makes Vegan, Gluten and Soy Free, burgers made of fresh and all-natural ingredients to give a BOOST of plant-based protein!

While I do eat meat, I do like to try new vegetarian meals now and again and have to say that Sunshine Burger was delicious all around! Watching the Winter Olympics now, especially, and teaching classes in between training clients and working the office job I’ve GOT to have easy protein-rich options to keep me fueled! After all, even if we’re not in the Olympics – if we’re active and on the go, we’re still ATHLETES!

I wanted to take the time to make a recipe with these guys, but with us packing and moving it just didn’t seem possible. HOWEVER we did use them for our lunches as an easy, pack & go, option!
I tried the Falafel burger, which was AWESOME with steamed kale. Hubby loved the Loco Chipotle and said it was delicious as-is! To me, that’s a huge deal because he loves to put ketchup or sauce on EVERYTHING!

Shaping it like a burger is the best way to get me to try plant-based protein… I might have to keep my eyes peeled for these.

I love veggie burgers. I buy a Tex Mex version made by Dr. Praegers from Whole Foods. It’s GMO free, and full of veggies. You should try it sometime.

I don’t need NO sunshine burgers, NOT when I have you and your SUNNY SELF – LMFAO!!! Oh was that cheesy?! Well that’s odd? How could I, GiGi, the girl who hasn’t eaten CHEESE in forever, be cheesy 😉

But seriously, I don’t really have anything bad to say about these burgers – I cannot eat them because I cannot eat rice… BUT they don’t have ADDED CRAP ingredients! BOO YA!!!
