Weekly Workouts Roundup – Wk of 1/26!

OVER THE MOON today with a 10k PR yesterday! YAHOO!
Link up! (I usually always do this post on Sundays!) as I recap workouts for the week in a Weekly Workouts Roundup! It can be any day and not necessarily Sunday also!

Week of 1/26/2014
1/26 – Turbo Fire 45
1/27- T25 Speed 2.0 + Taught & completed Basic training class (Buddy stations) 20 burpees
1/28- 5k Run 10 burpees
1/29 – 50 Burpees, Turbo Fire HIIT 30 + Taught Insanity class, 50 more Burpees
1/30 –  T25 Core Cardio + 40 Burpees
1/31– Off Day / 40 burpees
2/1 – Best Damn Race 10k
Total Miles: 9.2 / 215 Burpees

This week’s wacky weather had me indoors mostly. I stuck to my al-la-carte version of T25 along with Turbo Fire – ANXIOUSLY awaiting the 21 Day Fix! Tuesday I decided to do one run pre-10k week and made it a speedy one! I’m definitely owing strength training and agility to my recent RUN HAPPYNESS.

This week at the gym, I taught a tough Extreme Training Class with buddy/partner stations and made sure to join in the fun! I even had the group warmup with a run to hit my 10,000 steps for the day 😉
I also decided to participate in Fitfluential’s #FFBurpee Challenge!
By February 28, 2014 the goal is to hit 1000 – YES 1000 – Burpees! So far I’m at ((counting in my head)) 215!
Why do BURPEES Rock?! Well, they work EVERYTHING! They’re a cardiovascular workout mixed with upper AND lower body strength AND core strength! They increase flexibility and heart health for sure!

Yesterday I had a phenomenal time at the Best Damn Race in Safety Harbor as I geared up to run my first officially-raced 10k since Disneyland last summer.

I’ll recap in another post this week – but a PR DID happen!

    Love hate burpees – always shoot for 6 sets of ten after 50 push ups! Grrrr!

    Burpees are too hard on this old lady’s body. I will leave them to you youngsters! Congrats on your PR…so excited for you!

    Woohoo for a new PR! Can’t wait to read more about it! Oh, and burpees are the worst. Burpees and push-ups kill me.

    You are a monster! 🙂 I had a great week this past week – I take them when I ca when every day is awesome workout wise.. outside of the gym was a bit different! 😉
