Happy Friday!!! Endorphins have definitely been my friend this week as I’ve had a pretty hectic one! Life’s never about running away from the difficult, but coping with it in a positive way sure makes it easier to tackle!

Running: Since we’re prepping for the 1020 this coming Sunday in Austin (10 miles and 20 stages of entertainment in ATX!) and after the Race for Sight race this weekend, I’ve just taken things easy. I have no reason to ‘speed’ train or push myself too hard. I also wanted to give myself the chance to run because I wanted to and not because I had to – reconnect with it persay?

Beachbody workouts: I’ve done a hybrid of Insanity and T25 and Turbofire now for some time and just added in some 21 Day Fix workouts. Since I do like more high intensity workouts I’ve stuck to mixing it with my standing workouts as an added bonus. Yes, I have workout A.D.D. 😉

21 Day Fix: I happened to choose a time when I had some challenges  with sweets cravings in the middle of my 21 Day Fix – Optimum timing! However, I didn’t try to deprive myself all while working on results simultaneously. I bought TJ’s super dark chocolate and let myself snack here and there on it. I kept to my proper amount of color coded meals and portions all but one day each week while increasing the workouts past 30 minutes a day in a hybrid with my other Beachbody workouts. I’m seeing composition changes and haven’t weighed myself – progress WILL be made!

We’ll be headed out of town this weekend for another racecation to Austin! The 1020 race will have 20 Stages of music and 10 miles of run – EXCITED doesn’t sum it up!

We are BY NO MEANS RACING this race. Hubby has the onset of Plantar Faciitis – THUMBS DOWN – and hasn’t been able to run much. I want to actually stop and LISTEN to the bands playing because that’s what Austin is ALL about! I’ll be sure to INSTAGRAM and SHARE our Race and Vacation moments for sure!

How do you mix up different workouts within your week? Do you have Workout A.D.D. like me??

Ok I think the interwebs ate my comment. 🙁 But anyways…that race sounds so fun! I have only been to Austin once and it was for a school competition. So needless to say, I’d like to get back there as an adult.

I definitely try to vary my workouts, particularly my cross-training. I’m getting back to Tabata again which I love because it’s fast and usually I leave practically dead. 🙂 -C

Dang girlie…You are always on the move! What a fun run though…I won’t say race, haha! Just go and enjoy it! As for the workout A.D.D. – Totally! I can definitely relate. Sorry to hear about hubby’s PF – are you guys attacking it with a no mercy plan? My IT band thinks it can start acting crazy but I have been going after it and it is feeling pretty good (knock on wood!) Heading to the chiropractor in a little bit to get crackin’! Have a great time this weekend!

So jealous you’re doing 10/20! I wanted to do that (they started the year after I moved out of TX) and now that there’s one in San Diego, I might have to make that happen next year. Hope you enjoy!

I’m definitely not a runner, but am lucky I got two quick 20-minute Zumba workouts in earlier this week. 😉

Loved the California 10/20, so I’m sure the Austin 10/20 is AMAZE-BALLS!! Really enjoy it!! This week of workouts was great – http://cmcdot.blogspot.com/2014/04/workout-recap-week-15.html. I even got in my longest run to date – 19 miles!
