If you follow me on Social Media (links to the right of course) you know that I had one ACTION and KNOWLEDGE and SWEAT packed weekend at the Beachbody Coach Summit!
One of the biggest parts of going to the Beachbody Coach Summit is the WORKOUTS! I mean, the whole time we were in Vegas – I went with my friend and coach Lisa – we were busy either in sessions or in a workout or training opportunity! So, I’ll split my posts into “The Sweat and Eats” and then “Being a Sponge” and then “Connecting” – Makes it a little easier right?
Let’s start with the WORKOUTS!
I was unsure how I could keep the #RWRunStreak going amidst travel and crazy workouts that I KNEW were hard at home so would be tough cookies with the actual BEACHBODY TRAINERS. Nonetheless, I kept my promise to myself and others that I’d keep going STREAKING! Each day I was in Vegas I ran at least a mile up to a 5k. Day 29 is today and there’s only 11 days left!
The T25 and/or Insanity workout with Shaun T was ON MY LIST! Lisa and I were ready for an intense 25-30 minute workout with the MAN himself who brought T25 into the homes of not only my family but millions of others all over! This workout alone has helped not only improve my stability and endurance but also my agility and speed!
Bright and early at 430am we were in line for the 6am workout on Friday morning so that we had a good spot to catch all of the action!
… to make the weekend “with Shaun T” even more awesome, I was able to meet my “Fitness Mentor” and shared on Instagram how I told him thank you for all he’s done to change my life and who I am as a person and trainer. He told me that I did that, not him, so thanked ME. That moment was something I’ll never forget and will push me to keep on this path of NO EXCUSES and DIGGING DEEP to motivate others to do the same!
I wasn’t able to partake in the “Super Workout” on Saturday morning after having some bad dehydration Friday (crazy dry and hot Vegas weather) so, did my part in the hotel’s gym along with some PiYo practice since the weekend was ALL about its release!
When it came to eating…
I stuck to my Gluten Free and Dairy free diet as of late! I did indulge with a cupcake (Gluten Free) or two but worked it off work 20k+ steps a day! WORK HARD, PLAY HARD!
Lisa and I enjoyed Emeril’s restaurant more than a few times for their oyster selection and ventured out for raw juices and different types of sushi on the strip!
Just as I always say, work hard to play hard – just be aware of what choices you make so that you know the work you have to put in to get it back in BALANCE!
Shakeology was my friend each morning for breakfast before having a snack a couple of hours later and keeping up with my usual eating routine – I never really eat big meals but eat before I tend to get hungry. It just works for me 😉
Do you find it hard to keep focused on dietary needs while on vacation or out of town?
What would you say to your Mentor if you got to meet them and haven’t yet?
And who won the Casetify phone case?? I had 2 to giveaway actually!
