Home-Delivered Seafood! Sizzlefish review

After the 3 Day Refresh, I’d added fish and chicken back into my diet, but decided to stay away from too much red meat. I’ve done this before in the past, and there’s nothing wrong with a little organic and/or grassfed beef, but I decided to try something out to keep my stomach happy.

Even though we live in Florida, the seafood selection at our local grocery store usually includes salmon, grouper, catfish, and shrimp. With us actually wanting more seafood variety to try, we discovered Sizzlefish.

Sizzlefish makes life easy by offering home-delivery of fresh seafood!

“At Sizzlefish our mission is simple – We want you to perform better. We want you to enjoy both the athletic performance and health benefits of fish, in the most consistently-delicious form that you’ve ever experienced. You can trust us to supply you with pure untreated fish portions, with tools and tips for quick easy preparation, and with honest information about the benefits you are receiving from Sizzlefish products.”

Hubby and I may not be the most creative with our every day cooking – just keeping it real. We have such small gaps of time to prepare food, we focus on simple recipes that are quick to prepare and serve. Staples in our repertoire for seafood preparation are mojo seasoning (liquid), lemon juice, sea salt, garlic, and honey! Yes, honey! When we mix these ingredients together it gives a quick marinade that you can use either 30-60 minutes before cooking or even poured right over top of the cooked fish.

Team P’s Quick Fish Marinade:

1/2 cup liquid mojo seasoning

1 tbsp honey

Juice of one lemon

1 tsp sea salt

We used this method on the fish we cooked from Sizzlefish and added sides to create SUPER EASY dinners throughout the week – we’re hooked!

Rainbow Trout with brown rice and broccoli

Cod with zucchini and our summer slaw

Hubby even got creative and decided to try a strange-but-good mixture…

Catfish with turkey bacon, mixed potatoes, and creamed spinach

Prep was simple for all dishes! We thawed the fish out (in the packaging) by placing it in a bowl of room temperature water about an hour before preparation! We sautéed it on a non-stick pan using olive oil and the above marinade mixture – all sides were prepared simultaneously.

Delish, simple, and quick!

We are LOVING the idea of having fresh seafood delivered right to our door – Sizzlefish to the dinner rescue!

Are you a big seafood fan? What’s your favorite?

Does home-delivery make your live easier?

Those look fantastic. I’d love to eat more seafood, but I admit I’m intimidated by picking it out at the store. This would be a great option for us! Thanks!

I am too! I never pick the right piece at the store, and love how each piece we’ve had from SF has been the perfect size!
