Inspired by other blogger’s posts recapping 2014, I decided “What the heck, why not do one too!” … I mean, it has been a pretty fabulous year after all!
January:
I was able to finally reward myself (and Hubby a month later) with a Disney Annual Park Pass! Especially since I was bunking with Linzie for the weekend at WDW Marathon Weekend, I knew I would make the money back in a few days’ time! This ended up being my last half marathon for some time as I shifted my focus into my fitness career! I also hosted a fun Tweet Up with Linzie and Dani!
February:
We headed to Key West to celebrate Hubby’s birthday and I also did the Spartan Sprint in Tampa with a client/friend of mine! I also made the trek to Alexandria, VA for my first fitness professional’s conference at IDEAfit East which sparked even more interest into making Fitness my ‘job.’
March:
We got to go to Chicago to visit Shannyn and her pugs and see a city we both hadn’t been to before. It was SO COLD. I also began writing more about topics that fit into my niche of being a fitness nut from my experience with weight loss and shared information I was learning to others here on the blog.
April:
Keeping in-tune with what I recommend others to do as a fitness coach, I completed the 21 Day Fix and saw 10 inches lost! This was amidst our [repeat] trip to Austin where we completed the 1020 race together.
May:
I made the switch to WordPress.org with the help of my lovely IT guru friend Becca! I started reading more for personal and spiritual development, which has been a nice and welcome change! Team Pursuit came to fruition and more people just like me joined in to help others get healthy! I started more Yoga practice after a long hiatus, in preparation for PiYo certification. Hubby and I celebrated our 2nd year anniversary [of being married.] Year after year we get better at this marriage thing 😉
June:
I became a certified PiYo group fitness instructor to not only work on my own flexibility but help others who NEED yoga and stretching be able to do a class that gives all the benefits with a little spunk! Hubby and I began to see BIG changes in our overall health and wellness with the help of being on Shakeology a little over 6 months! A life-changing event, I attended the Beachbody Coach Summit in Las Vegas! I also went to Fitbloggin in Savannah and got to see many blends who came from all over the country! To my surprise, I was chosen as a Semi-Finalist in the #beTheONE contest from Reebok, qualifying me for a trip to Reebok Headquarters in Canton, MA!
July:
We decided to give the 3 Day Refresh a shot and saw amazing results after cleaning our system in a healthy way! Hubby joined me for a weekend at Disney to preview the Youth Sports Programs at the Wide World of Sports! I officially completed the #RWRunStreak and began a hiatus from running for the remainder of the year. I also started to work with my team and others on finding their niche, like I found mine, to assist with direction for posts and consistency with social media.
August:
I began to take a No-Nonsense approach to my goal of becoming a full-time Fitness Coach. Weekly, I posted training tip videos related to Insanity and PiYo [I should get back to this soon!] We took a 13 hour drive to the Outer Banks, NC for a week of vacation with my cousins on the beautiful beach of Rodanthe.
September:
We were off to Boston with Reebok! What an amazing experience with lifelong friends made through an awesome company! We both enjoyed being in B-town together, it was hubby’s first trip.
October:
After learning that most of my customers and clients weren’t eating enough [the misconception is to limit caloric intake to lose weight] I wrote THIS post. I also shifted my focus and relationship officially with running. After some serious thought and discussion and planning, we made the decision for me to go full-time with Fitness at the beginning of 2015.
November:
… – being selected as a Beachbody Ambassador was icing on the cake for that decision! To bring awareness to Diabetes Awareness Month, I wrote THIS post. I was finally able to get LASIK on my eyes so I had to wear no more glasses or contacts – Hubby enjoyed being a spectator for that.
December:
Gearing up for the BIG CHANGE I also decided to take on Insanity Max:30 to amp up my own workouts and CONFUSE my body! I reflected on another year as I turned 34, in THIS post. Hubby and I enjoyed another weekend away at Disney for my birthday and to celebrate great things to come for us. We had an amazing holiday season with friends and family and are excited to RING IN the New Year!
THANK YOU to all my of readers…shoot, FRIENDS…who have taken time to read my posts and follow my journey this year! I am SO THRILLED to see how sharing progress and my story can encourage others to start their OWN journey to lose weight, get healthy, and be the BEST VERSIONS of themselves they can be! BEST JOB EVER!
