Hello Moto 360 – a review

Fitness gadgets and watches have become a hot commodity in our world as we track, step, and MOVE — these gadgets are meant to motivate us to get up and prove that we put in hard work!


I’ve had my fair share of watches and trackers I’ve tried as I’ve begun my fitness journey. I’ve loved many features of them and have seen them evolved over the course of the last 5 years or so.


One of the newest gadgets to appear on the “Fitness Watch” Market is the Moto 360 Watch.



I love the ability to upload apps to find more watch faces and the ones that come with the Android Wear app!


I’ve been wearing my Apple Watch now for almost a year, so I was excited to try out another watch that was compatible with my iPhone 6s.


Whether I’m working out — mostly walking now post-baby — or I am cleaning the house, seeing my tracking keeps me motivated to workout even more each day!




Immediately looking at the Moto 360 – here in a Rose Gold Finish with Leather band (there is also a Sport Version) – I was in love with the style of the watch. The appearance of the watch isn’t that OF a fitness tracker and it blends perfectly into any outfit whether working out or wearing ‘normal’ people clothes – as I like to call them.

If you have an Android phone, the functionality of the Moto 360 is much smoother than when using with an iPhone through the iOS software. It’s not impossible, but you have to do some workarounds to use the watch and some of the functions aren’t available with iOS. You can use the Moto 360 as more of a notifications watch especially through all of the Google apps, but you can’t use it functionally to make calls or send texts etc.


If you’re looking for a fashionable watch that allows you to receive notifications as well as have functionality as a fitness tracker, the Moto 360 watch is just that! You can get your workout on without having a ‘sporty’ watch and take that same watch out for a night on the town — silently counting steps 😉
