Kill the Quit with Kill Cliff!

If you know anything about me, you know that I usually stick to zero to low caffeine before my workouts and usually run strictly on sheer grit and determination … blended with sleep deprivation and deliriousness.

When it comes to being a new mom, it’s taken a toll on my energy levels and has made it a challenge to get my workouts done; I wake up at 5am so that I have uninterrupted time to get it done before the sun comes up! Even though it’s a challenge, that doesn’t mean that I DON’T do it. It means that I just had to find a new way to create my new normal!

I’m learning more and more that I need to take care of myself inside and out to recover and be ready for mama duty at any time!

I was given the opportunity to review Kill Cliff’s new recovery drink formula for post-workout hydration and recovery and thought it came at just the perfect time for me!

KILL CLIFF was founded by a Navy SEAL who created the original product (a recovery drink) as a way to recover from his intense His intent was to make something like liquid motrin that tasted like a fruity soda; he wanted mainly electrolytes and recovery without the crap of sugars like other comparable products. KC is a vitamin blend, an enzyme blend, and natural anti-inflammatories like ginger, ginseng, and green tea.  With recent updates to their product, KC is now naturally sweetened and NON-GMO! As a bonus, it’s carbonated and also dairy free!

You better bet that as soon as I received my shipment I dived head first into my stash! I received 5 awesome flavors:

Blood Orange

Pomegranate Punch

Blackberry Lemonade

Lemon Lime

and Raspberry Blueberry

I have to say that my favorite flavors were Pomagranate Punch and Blood Orange!

Their recent campaign, “Kill the Quit,” is all about NOT GIVING up on yourself or your workouts by staying mentally and physically strong! Being that I love a hard workout and am coming back after having a baby, this fit right into my current training mentality.

When I get up every day, super early and tired, I have to go DEEP into my brain to “Kill the Quit” inside of me. We all have it happen, and sometimes we give in. If we PUSH the negativity out we can get past those vibes!

To me, I feel that to “Kill the Quit” you have to live according to the #NoExcuses way of live — make NONE in order to get it in and get it done! It takes SACRIFICE to see SUCCESS!

My gym may be my living room, but I leave it ALL on the floor there after every single workout I do!

I love this video from Crossfitter, Brooke Ence, where she sums up “Kill the Quit” perfectly with her definition: You don’t get to tell me I’m done!

Have you tried Kill Cliff or would you?

What do you do to KILL THE QUIT in your workouts?

If you do a social share, use @KillCliff and #KILLTHEQUIT, I’d love to see how you rock it out!!
